Product Description
A threaded-in type float level sensor is a popular solution for measuring fluid levels in tanks and reservoirs. This design features a float that moves with the liquid level, and it is mounted through a threaded connection, providing a secure and reliable installation.
Key Features
✔Threaded Design: Direct screw-in installation for a leak-proof connection.
✔Float Mechanism: High-precision reed switch activated by fluid level movement.
✔Material Options: Available in stainless steel, PP, PVC, or PVDF for diverse environments.
✔Customization: Tailored float sizes, probe lengths, and switch configurations.
✔Easy Maintenance: Simplifies installation and reduces downtime.
Applications
●Water Tanks: Monitoring municipal, agricultural, or industrial water levels.
●Fuel Tanks: Automotive and marine fuel level monitoring.
●Chemical Storage: Suitable for corrosive agents and medical reagents.
●Food & Beverage: Liquid level sensing for edible media.
How It Works
Most vertical liquid level indicators can be changed from normally open to normally closed by removing the retainer and flipping the float. In normally open mode, the switch remains OFF until the float is lifted by liquid, making contact with the elastic ring to turn the switch ON. This automation allows systems to start emptying or filling the tank to maintain optimal levels.

Vertical Level Sensors
Vertical float level sensors can be mounted in the top or the bottom of the tank, providing two points of contact for efficient filling and emptying systems.
Horizontal Level Sensors
Horizontal float type level switches mount on the side of the tank, allowing you to set exact levels regardless of the tank's size or shape.
Frequently Asked Questions
What liquids can these sensors measure?
They are suitable for a wide range of media including potable water, diesel fuel, hydraulic fluids, edible oils, and corrosive chemicals depending on the material (Stainless Steel, PP, or PVDF) chosen.
Can I switch the sensor from Normally Open (NO) to Normally Closed (NC)?
Yes, most vertical liquid level indicators allow you to change the contact state by simply removing the retainer and flipping the float.
What is the maximum temperature these sensors can handle?
Stainless steel 304 models can handle high temperatures up to 160ºC, while PVDF models are rated up to 100ºC.
How are these sensors installed?
They feature a threaded-in design for secure mounting. Vertical sensors are typically mounted on the top or bottom of a tank, while horizontal sensors are mounted on the side.
Are custom probe lengths available?
Yes, we offer customization for probe lengths, ranging from 30mm up to 1000mm for standard models, and up to 4 meters for specialized explosion-proof versions.
What is the IP rating for these switches?
These level sensors carry an IP67 rating, ensuring they are dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water.
