WAS Auto
Explore our precision-engineered selection of brake vacuum boosters, master cylinders, brake pad wear sensors, and accessories designed to ensure ultimate stopping power and OEM compliance.
Established in 2014, Shandong WAS Auto Co., Ltd. has grown to become a cornerstone in the global manufacturing of high-quality automotive brake components. We specialize in engineering high-end brake pads, brake discs, and brake shoes for all types of passenger and light commercial vehicles. Over the years, WAS Auto has developed a variety of advanced brake pad formulations, including ceramic, semi-metallic, carbon-ceramic, and NAO (non-asbestos organic) composites.
Our products are engineered to withstand extreme driving dynamics, known worldwide for their excellent high-temperature resistance, outstanding wear resistance, low noise, minimal dust, and consistent quality. By integrating precise vacuum-assisted technologies with robust mechanical designs, we ensure that every system operates seamlessly under critical conditions.
Our Mission & Values
Driven by "Safety, Innovation, and Sustainability," we deliver eco-friendly and dependable braking solutions. Recognizing the critical importance of braking systems in vehicle safety, every product undergoes rigorous thermal, pressure, and structural simulations to exceed standard regulatory guidelines.
Modern internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric vehicles require distinct approaches to vacuum generation. Because modern high-efficiency engines (such as direct-injection turbo engines) and electric drivetrains do not produce sufficient manifold vacuum, mechanical or electrical brake vacuum pumps are mandatory to drive the brake booster.
Commonly driven by the engine's camshaft, these pumps offer constant vacuum supply proportional to engine RPM. Engineered with high-durability plastic or carbon vanes, they must minimize friction losses and withstand prolonged thermal stress. Our design prioritizes internal sealing to prevent engine oil migration into the booster canister.
For hybrid (HEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV), EVPs operate independently of the engine. Equipped with brushless DC (BLDC) motors, these pumps trigger dynamically based on pressure sensors within the booster. They are optimized for rapid response (reaching -0.5 bar in under 300ms) and boast minimal Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) levels.
The industry is transitioning toward vacuum-free "brake-by-wire" setups. During this transition, hybrid backup systems utilizing compact, light-alloy auxiliary vacuum pumps ensure that fail-safe pneumatic amplification is always available, maintaining consistent pedal feel even during power electronics interruption.
Our manufacturing facility features advanced industrial systems, operating 80 hot pressing machines, 5 automated spraying lines, and high-precision CNC grinding machines. This automation ensures repeatability, dimensional stability, and minimal cycle times. Below is our continuous manufacturing process that guarantees every brake component meets strict international standards:

Our metrics illustrate our capacity to handle large-scale global sourcing programs. By streamlining logistics and enhancing quality check protocols, we provide consistent supply security.
Whether configuring supply networks for Tier-1 OEMs or local parts distributors, our systems meet high standards of operation, engineering, and support.
Co-design capabilities for car builders, meeting rigorous APQP and PPAP documentation procedures, ensuring seamless fit and strict functional alignment.
High-volume manufacturing of premium replacement components that match or exceed original specifications, packed and certified for retail distribution.
All processes are certified under IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems. Products meet strict international criteria, including E-mark (ECE R90) and LINK testing.
Navigating global supply chain volatility demands a partner that can guarantee structural cost advantages, rapid tooling development, and raw material safety margins. At WAS Auto, we run localized partnerships, maintaining safety stock, offering flexible payment programs, and providing structured logistical solutions from major shipping hubs like Qingdao, Shanghai, and Ningbo.
By utilizing a robust local network of metallurgical casting and sealing compound suppliers, we shield our clients from localized cost spikes, guaranteeing consistent year-round pricing agreements and shorter Lead Times (typically 30-45 days from order placement to shipment).
Addressing key procurement, engineering, and logistics questions from professional automotive buyers and distributors.
Our manufacturing facilities operate under IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certifications. For specific global markets, our brake pads and components comply with ECE R90 standards, and our materials undergo rigorous SAE J661 friction test analysis to ensure consistent performance.
We perform dynamic mechanical testing, including resonance frequency checking, diaphragm sealing tests, and micro-gap tolerance adjustments. This keeps background mechanical feedback minimal, aligning with premium luxury brand parameters.
We offer full ODM and OEM services, including custom laser engraving on product housings, custom color coating, and branded retail box design. All private label designs undergo approval checks to match localized trademark laws.
We coordinate shipping through local ports like Qingdao and Shanghai, handling cargo loading, maritime paperwork, and customs filings. For large OEM clients, we support DAP, FOB, and CIF terms based on specific delivery timelines.
